Solar Energy Systems

Modern Solar Power Generation Technology

We are constantly seeing new breakthrough technology in photovoltaic solar power systems as scientist and manufacturers continue to create cheaper and more efficient panels and supporting components.

Solar panels have been efficient to power systems such as irrigation schemes and classes to provide light. Regardless of the myriad of technological advances, solar panels have remained the primary component of energy production systems in rural areas.

There will always be various different types of photovoltaic cells being developed in an effort to improve efficiency and production costs, but the modern solar panels are amazing. Today's solar photovoltaic systems are light years ahead of the early designs with often haphazard set-ups.

Modern solar power systems use a method of sun exposure to generate electricity via semiconductors. Simple, direct exposure to the sun and its heat generates electrons that are then captured into the solar system and transformed into usable electricity.

Long gone are the days of the extremely expensive and relatively inefficient solar panel in the 1970s. Fortunately for us, our prototype jump-started the entire industry and helps light the darkest and impoverished parts.

We work to provide solar panels that are so efficient they can even generate passive income right from roofs. We hope to install efficient systems where we can use less power than the photovoltaic system produces.

Modern systems allow simple additions to grow our power production whenever we want to expand which allows us the freedom to build out our system further as your budget allows.

Cost-Benefit Analysis

Most people, especially rural dwellers, are genuinely interested in how renewable energy can have an impact on their daily lives. They are constantly looking for new products that will help save them money and most of them see the value in protecting the environment and reducing carbon emissions.

The cost of installing a solar photovoltaic system has come down dramatically in the past few years. Where a suitable system from 1998 would have cost around $12 per watt of energy produced, the costs are typically less than $3 per watt installed. This dramatic drop in cost makes modern solar electric power systems far more available and accessible for the average home-owner.

When the benefits and incentive programs are considered, the energy savings and profit potential are impossible to ignore. There has been a return on investment in solar installers.

Solar electricity is no longer a fringe idea. With photoelectric solar cells and a complete photovoltaic power system, our projects easily reduce the electricity consumption needed from the grid and can literally reverse the spin of your electrical meter by generating more energy than the amount you are consuming.

Availability of Sunshine Throughout

To maximize endurance and efficiency, solar panels must be mounted onto a solid structure and face east, west or south and have little to no shade from trees or other buildings.

The most common method of installation is to mount the panels to the roof with a standard slope. Solar panels can be mounted on a flat roof however the installation requires additional expertise that may add a little to the cost. The solar panels can be mounted to a pole if tree cover is an issue, but the ideal situation is to mount them to the sunny side of your roof or if you have some available open space, ground-mounted systems are common and affordable as well.

Fortunately, solar panels require almost no maintenance as a normal amount of wind and rain is all that is typically required to keep the panels operating at near 100% of their rated efficiency. The system does continue to generate power during inclement weather albeit at a slightly lower rate during the actual rain. Solar panels do not generate any electricity while they are covered in snow, however, because the panels are strategically placed in areas of the highest available sunlight throughout the year, no maintenance is usually required from us. Modern solar panels are manufactured to withstand lightning strikes, high winds and hail up to nearly an inch.

Creating Job Opportunitites

The immense lack of job opportunities for youth is a major challenge globally. The proportion of the working-age population in paid employment is only 13.7 percent (ILO) in Sub-Saharan Africa. Projections indicate that 600 million jobs need to be created by 2020.

Solar energy industries can open doors and opportunities for employment. There are several ways to harness solar energy: photovoltaics, solar heating & cooling, and concentrating solar power.

Solar energy is a flexible energy technology: it can be built as distributed generation (located at or near the point of use) or as a central-station, utility-scale solar power plant (similar to traditional power plants). Both of these methods can also store the energy they produce for distribution after the sun sets, using cutting edge solar + storage technologies.

Solar power is energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy. Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable energy source available, and we can harness this resource to empower those left behind. Solar technologies can harness this energy for a variety of uses, including generating electricity, providing light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial use.
